Watchband made by Hopi/Navajo silversmith Dick Mike Yazzie (1938-1982). The silver overlay depicts a horned Kachina. Hallmarks on inside IHM (Indian Hand Made) and DMY (Dick Mike Yazzie), S/S for sterling silver, and W for Woodard's Indian Arts. Marion (M.L.) Woodard worked for the United Indian Traders Association (UITA) in the 1930s and also operated shops in Tucson, Scottsdale, Santa Fe and Gallup. Yazzie worked at Woodard's and also at Atkinson Trading Co. The watch is new, but can be replaced by one of your choosing.
