Allan Kee, Navajo (Diné, 1916 - 1972) perfected his silversmithing art in the 1950’s and 1960’s at the White Hogan Shop in Scottsdale, working as a colleague of his older first cousin, master Navajo silversmith, Kenneth Begay (1910-1977), who because of his groundbreaking Modernist style, was widely known as the 'Father of Modern Navajo Jewelry'. Both Allen and Kenneth started out with the Babbitt Brothers in Flagstaff, AZ. Of the three Kee (George, Ivan) brothers, Allan is considered the most accomplished, and his work is truly exceptional. Hallmarks include; his AK signature, the White Hogan hallmark, and 'Sterling'
