Mark Chee (Diné, 1914-1981) was a master silversmith who as a teenager moved from his home in Lukachukai, Arizona, to Santa Fe, New Mexico. There, among some of the great Native silversmiths he learned the traditional methods of silversmithing and made some of the most sought after pieces today. This example, is one of the most powerful pieces I've seen with it's chisel and stamp work. Beautiful in it's simplicity and powerful in it's highly polished silver weight! Signed with his Chee logo.
