Early 20th century hand wrought ingot silver cuff made with 5 high grade turquoise cabochons. The edges have been beautifully sculpted with chisels, and each stone is separated by a twisted wire bar. At each end of of the row is a stamped silver overlay, as well as overlays on the terminals, decorated with chevron shaped stamping. Made in the first quarter of the 20th century.

Provenance: This bracelet, from the collection of Michelle Smith, sold at the Hindman Native American Art Auction, in 2021. Michelle Smith was a trailblazing businesswoman, arts patron, and philanthropist. Daughter of the late businessman and philanthropist Robert H. Smith, and artist Clarice Smith, she became one of the Washington D.C. area’s most respected figures, known for her generous spirit, exacting eye and fierce dedication to championing artistic and cultural organizations, as well as educational institutions.
